The International Seminary for Interfaith Studies (ISIS) is created from our twenty years of Interfaith Seminary leadership experience. As we watch the world changing, we realize that what we taught in the past is not enough to deal with the global issues of this time. The world is changing at a rapid rate and there is a shift in the awareness. Future Interfaith Ministers need to be taught in a different way, something more substantial and spiritually grounding is needed. It is time to train Interfaith Ministers, as Gloria Karpinsky puts it, “to minister into the shift of consciousness that is happening on this planet right now.”

The Shift is a term which describes an evolution in what we experience as truth. The old truth is that we are separate beings…separate from each other and separate from God/Universe/Source. The new truth is that we are all connected…we are all one…we are all God/Universe/Source. This new truth is a process of re-membering and re-experiencing who and what we are at our core… our true essence.

The father of Interfaith and our beloved teacher, Rabbi Joseph H. Gelberman (of blessed memory) taught us “Never Instead Of…Always in Addition To.” It was his wish that we teach the basics of interfaith ministry, plus the consciousness of the Oneness of all life. What we are teaching at ISIS is how to minister from that place of Oneness, and stay grounded and steady into the Shift that is growing more apparent every day.

All that we do, teach, learn and take out into the world comes from our heart…not our head…ISIS is a heart centered ministry…it’s what differentiates us.

ISIS MISSION STATEMENT

The International Seminary for Interfaith Studies (ISIS) trains Interfaith ministers for the 21^st Century and beyond.

ISIS has been created to train Interfaith Ministers so they can minister into the shift of consciousness that is happening in the world today. People are waking up, recognizing that what was the norm just a few years or even months ago is not that anymore, and feeling as if nothing seems stable.

As the times change and the world is in a state of flux, we are training our Interfaith Ministers to reach out to the public in times of crisis; Ministers who can meet each person where she/he is spiritually and physically, without losing their personal connection to, and grounding in, the Divine of their understanding.

ISIS is here to serve the world by training Interfaith Ministers in a new way, one that grounds them in the energy of most of the world’s major religions and gives them training in Spiritual Counseling. ISIS gives these Ministers the tools needed to create weddings, baby blessings, funerals, write sermons and to know how to pray with people. ISIS also teaches what it means to have planetary consciousness and how to work with the Oneness that connects us all.
